Training our Dose of Nature Guides

New volunteer Dose of Nature Guides join our community

In October 2019, another group of volunteers completed their training programme to become Dose of Nature Guides, with a combination of classroom learning, and activities and exercises in the glorious urban nature reserve at Pensford Field in Kew. The two day course, run by an experienced psychologist, provides volunteers with the skills to inspire others to experience nature in a way that is beneficial to their mental health, as part of our Dose of Nature Prescription Programme.
Here, volunteers share their thoughts on the day:

"I so enjoyed my Dose of Nature training and now loving fractals, snapshots of nature and my little weed friends. Thank you Alison for putting together a wonderful training program, and the delicious catering! It was fab to be trained with you all. I’m still smiling".

"Really enjoyed our two days. Very inspiring to be part of this project and am appreciating being more mindful in nature".
