Celebrating Spring and Community at Whitelands College πŸŒΏπŸ‘‘

On Saturday, 10th May 2025, Dose of Nature was honoured to be part of the historic MayMonarch celebrations at Whitelands College, Roehampton — a tradition over 140 years old! Representing the charity, our Senior Administrator, Zehra, attended the lunch event and was warmly welcomed by the college community.

With the help of two enthusiastic student volunteers from Roehampton University, we set up a vibrant display highlighting our work connecting people with nature to support mental health. We had the pleasure of meeting inspiring individuals throughout the afternoon, including research student, Bridget Moira Steenkamp, who guided us through the day, and Dr Nick Mayhew-Smith, Head of Whitelands College, who kindly made several introductions and warmly welcomed Dose of Nature into the community.

We were especially delighted to meet Hanna Baxter, this year’s wonderful May Monarch, who has chosen Dose of Nature as her charity for the year. As a psychology student passionate about mental health and nature, Hanna’s support means the world to us. Her enthusiasm truly shone through, and many guests expressed keen interest in volunteering or visiting our programme.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone at Whitelands College for their warm hospitality and generous support. We’re excited about this budding partnership and look forward to working more closely with the college over the coming year.
