Roots Nature Therapy Trained to Deliver Nature Prescriptions

Following the announcement of our funding partnership with the Chimo Trust, we are thrilled to share that the first cohort of practitioners from our community partnership model has completed their Dose of Nature training.

Last week, we welcomed the team from Roots Nature Therapy, one of our pioneering partners for this pilot programme. Over a comprehensive, hands-on training day, we trained six of their dedicated volunteers - including their two inspiring founders - to deliver our evidence-based, 8-week Dose of Nature Prescriptions.

Our partnership model focuses on training established organisations that are already doing incredible work with children and young people. By equipping their teams with our clinically led, nature-based intervention, we can extend our reach, allowing more young people suffering from severe anxiety, depression, and trauma to access the healing power of the natural world.

The sun shone down on the training cohort, and the energy was incredibly positive. Reflecting on the week, one of the founders of Roots Nature Therapy shared:

"The sun was out for us, and it was great to get our group of volunteers together. There is a wealth of talent, experience, and enthusiasm in the group."

As these newly trained volunteers prepare to support young people in their community, we look forward to sharing more of their journey and their feedback on how nature prescriptions are transforming lives.

Why We Need Your Support

The demand for our services among young people is at an all-time high, and we are working hard to expand this partner-training model to other communities. But as a small charity, we cannot do it alone. We do not charge the organisations we train or the clients we support.

When you donate to Dose of Nature, you directly fund the clinical training resources, psychologist supervision, and programmatic support needed to equip our community partners like Roots Nature Therapy.
